Day 1 27th Oct

1:00 - 2:00 PM: Arrival at Gorubathan.

2:00 - 3:00 PM: Transfer from Gorubathan to Tunglabung.

3:30 - 3:30 PM: Welcome to Moonbeam Farmstay, where you'll meet your hosts, Farden Lepcha and his family, who will be your companions for the next two days.

4:30 - 5:30 PM: Embark on a brief village trail to acquaint yourself with Tunglabung and explore Farden's tea plantations.

6:00 - 7:00 PM: Experience a warm welcome session hosted by the Moonbeam team and community members. Get introduced to the exciting program ahead.

8:00 - 9:00 PM: Dinner.

Day 2 28th Oct

8:00 - 9:00 AM: Savor a hearty breakfast.

9:00 - 10:00 AM: Embark on a picturesque downhill hike from Tunglabung to the Chel River.

10:00 - 10:30 AM: Set off on a scenic drive to Dhip Dara.

10:30 AM - 1:00 PM: Embark on a trek to Dalim Fort, a historical gem believed to have been constructed by the last Lepcha King, Gaeboo Achyok, in the 17th century.

1:00 - 1:30 PM: Immerse yourself in a captivating session on the history of Dalim Fort, Gaeboo Achyok, and the enthralling tales that surround it.

1:30 - 2:30 PM: Enjoy a delightful outdoor lunch amidst nature's beauty.

3:30 - 4:00 PM: Return to Tunglabung.

6:00 - 7:00 PM: Gather around the bonfire for an enchanting storytelling session with Lepcha Elders, who will share ancient tales and legends passed down through generations.

8:00 - 9:00 PM: Dinner.

Day 3 29th Oct

8:00 - 9:00 AM: Breakfast.

9:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Embark on a captivating forest hike to Lungsel, accompanied by a Lepcha guide who will share insights into the local flora and fauna, as well as traditional medicinal plants

1:00 - 2:00 PM: Arrive at your Homestay in Lungsel and indulge in a delightful lunch.

3:30 - 4:30 PM: Be part of a heartfelt welcome ceremony featuring a Lepcha cultural performance by students from Pano Gyabo Achyok Lepcha Primary School. Dive into the historical significance of Lungsel.

6:00 - 7:00 PM: Engage in an enlightening session with your host, Hen Tshering Lepcha, a passionate cultural conservationist and Lepcha folk musician, who works diligently to preserve their culture and language as a cultural teacher at Pano Gyabo Achyok Lepcha Primary School.

8:00 - 9:00 PM: Dinner

Day 4 30th oct

8:00 - 9:00 AM: Breakfast.

9:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Embark on a village hike through Doring and engage in insightful interactions with the medicine men of Lungsel. Learn more about the lifestyle of the lepchas by close interactions with the people of Lungsel.

1:00 - 2:00 PM: Lunch.

2:00 - 4:00 PM: Embark on a village hike to Chyakhum Dara through Mandir Dara, a sacred place for the Lepchas believed to be the birthplace of Pano Gyabo Achyok.

4:00 - 5:00 PM: Relish evening snacks in a local home.

6:00 - 8:00 PM: Continue your village hike to Chyakhum Dara through Mandir Dara, a sacred place for the Lepchas believed to be the birthplace of Pano Gyabo Achyok. Experience the spirituality and folklore surrounding this site.

4.00 - 5.00 - Evening snacks in a local home  

6.00- 8.00 p.m- Conclude your day with a memorable bonfire session filled with reflections on your cultural journey.

Day 5 31st oct

8:00 - 9:00 AM: Enjoy a final breakfast.

9:00 AM: Depart for Odlabari, carrying with you not only cherished memories but also a deeper understanding of the vibrant Lepcha culture and heritage.
